Bed linen and towels are present (15 euros to be paid cash to the lady who gives the keys and who washes the bed linen and the towels ).
Parking your car.
Parking in The Hague is paid almost everywhere. In the street, in front of the house, parking is free from 00.00h until 18.00h. Between 18.00 and 24.00 you have to pay (some 10 euros). For short stays (a few days), the parking meter in front of the house must be used.
For long stays (a month or more) the best thing is to buy a parking permit for one month at Parkeerbeheer Den Haag. This reduces parking costs a lot.
About The Hague: The Hague is a very interesting destination to spend a short stay, or even a holiday, in the Netherlands. In fact it is the second destination after Amsterdam. It's one of the greenest cities in Holland, with many big and interesting parks, musea, lots of places where old and modern architecture meet (looking from the "Plaats" you have an amazing view of the old Parliament Buildings and the spectacular towering new architecture rising behind it), and it is located just on the Dutch seaside with an amazing natural landscape of beaches and dunes.
About the weather. The Hague is a place to be enjoyed with any kind of weather, when the sun shines, its beautiful beaches invite to lay down in its fine sand and to jump in the waves, when it's cloudy or even when it rains, you just prepare your rain suit, take your bike and go for a walk through the dunes and along the beach, to enjoy the spectacular view of the towering skies, chasing clouds, whipping rain, floating seagulls above the North Sea and the dunes, and you will experiment yourself the very landscapes painted by the painters of the The Hague School and that can be admired in the Mesdag Museum in The Hague.
About Public Transport. The Hague has excellent public transport, which brings you in almost no time to Vermeer's Delft, Rembrandt's Leiden, and of course to Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Being the seat of the Dutch Government and the residence of the Queen of the Netherlands, The Hague boasts one of Europe's oldest and finest governmental building complexes (The Ridderzaal with the Houses of Parliament around it) and the Royal Palaces Noordeinde and Huis ten Bosch.
Just cross the street and take tram line 2 which will bring you in 6 minutes to Grote Markt, which is the very city center.
However, the best way to go around The Hague is by bike. In the apartment there are 3 bikes (2 ladies bikes and 1 man´s bike). More bikes can be rented at The Hague "Hollands Spoor" Station, where for only 7,50 per day you can rent extra bikes.

I enjoyed my stay. Felix was away so I stayed in the apartment on my own. His friend showed me everything and was very helpful. It is a cute place, feels very Spanish and has lovely art on the walls and a little balcony. It is a small place but this suited me fine. The apartment block feels safe and is easy to find. It was in a perfect location for me....a lovely half hour walk to the tourist centre but you could easily get a bus or tube. Nice places to have breakfast and supermarkets nearby. It was just what I was looking for. Thank you!
Once again I had a great time with Emanuela and Felix. My room was clean and had everything I needed for my stay. We had both light hearted and in depth conversations at the dinner table in the evenings. I refused to ride one of Felix's bicycles but eventually gave in and had a most enjoyable experience after a glass of wine!!!! The screaming and laughing 60 year old woman in the low cut dress out of control on a bicycle in Barcelona was me! I'm going back again next year all being well to Felix and Emanuela's.
"Cosy single room with privacy" Absolutely. The perfect place to be in Barcelona. Felix and Manuela are a very warm and welcoming couple, they make you feel instantly at home and have plenty of maps and guide books, as well as their own information to make your stay in Barcelona just perfect. They have a delightful home and my room was very cosy and comfortable. It was really great to be able to share dinner with them which really added to that perfect "at home" feeling in Barcelona. Thank you Felix and Manuela for a great time, great hospitality, a great place to stay and for making me feel so welcome in your home/Barcelona. Bronwen
Felix and Emanuela are the best! I loved their company. From the minute I walked in the door, they immediately made me feel at home. They opened up their entire home and were so much fun and great conversation. Their flat is conveniently located to the train station and a metro stop is right there as well. I will miss them and if I ever come back to Barcelona, I am staying with Felix and Emanuela! They are great people and I loved my room and flat and the location was wonderful. Felix is very knowledgeable about the place and can give you good information on where to go to see the best sites in Barcelona. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a cozy place with great people who will make you feel like family.
It was a great pleasure to stay at your place, thank you very much! Hope we will meet again.
It's a nice experience to live with a local couple in their downtown apartment. The room is small but neat with clean towel and sheet. Felix and Emanuala are very kind and easy going. You will get the map and brooklet about Barcelona as the welcome gift. :-) And you will be surprised by so many nice paintings on the walls. Emanuala will also show you how to use kitchen stuff and the washing machine! She cannot speak English well, but we communicate well!! :-D I didn't get time to go the Felix's shop to rent a bike to ride through Barcelona, but next time, when I have more time for Barcelona vacation, I will do it. :-)
An excellent stay in the home of Felix and Emanuela who are a couple of the most friendly and welcoming individuals you could wish to meet! The accommodation is exactly as described and you have the freedom to come and go as you please. The apartment is located in a quiet, fairly residential area of the city yet only 3 blocks from Sants Station and a 10/15 minute walk to Plaza Espanya. Entenca metro stop is less than 100 metres away and this gives easy access to the rest of this great city. There are numerous small cafes, bars and restaurants in the vicinity, all reasonably priced, together with a small supermarket for essential supplies. Overall I had a hugely enjoyable stay and would definitely give 100% recommendation for this apartment for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing break and I myself would hope to return here in due course!
This was my second stay with Felix and Emanuela and again I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for a pleasant time - anytime again!
