This is your chance with this floating studio, a former music studio located in a quiet and beautiful spot on the canal close to the city center of Amsterdam.
The studio (25m2) is a self-catering unit and has been recently completely renovated, nicely decorated and is bright and cosy. It has a wooden floor, a comfortable double/twin bed, fully equipped kitchenette, a two person dining table, toilet and shower cabin. Also there’s a small terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee and watch the ducks.
The surrounding area of this water-studio is super.
It has a beautiful view of the famous windmill “De Gooyer” with brewery and pub ‘t IJ’, Artis (Dutch Zoo), Dappermarket (voted as best market of Holland due to its cultural diversity) and cosy cafes and restaurants. Central Station is a mere 10 minutes away, either by bus or by bicycle.

Reviews of this property
Nice room, well equipped. Nice on the water, although you hardly notice that (unless you stay with nice wheather, you can have a sit on the small terrass). And sometime a duck seems to pass under the boat!
Host Rob is friendly and helpfull.
Situated on a 30 min walk from centre, and a bus connection nearby. A limited number of restaurants in the immediate neighborhood.
Excellent place to stay at Rob&Galith are extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and everything we expected from it and it was only 8min bus journey from central Amsterdam
Good place to stay. The room has enough space. Near the center. Good heating. Good warm shower. Free coffee . Nice guy. Top ( for the money ). saluti Rob
We had an amazing weekend at Robs place. The boat is a great location for couples. Not in the center but really close. Rob and his wife were very helpful and frienfriendly. There is a good supermarket nearby were you can buy everything you need. All in all, the studio is a great choice for a romantic weekend.
The studio is a fantastic place to stay in Amsterdam! It is near the City Centre Zone and yet a quiet location. Rob is very friendly and helpfull, if you have a question, you can ask him, that's great! The studio is very clean, although it's small there's everything you need for very good stay!
Nice little charming and clean houseboat, nice host and nice and quiet surroundings. Very short distance to both tram and bus. There is a restaurant 2 minutes away with a relaxed atmosphere and good food. Do remember to visit the brewery in the mill nearby.
The studio on water is truly the Amsterdam way to stay.
Close but not in the middle. Near a supermarket, tram and buses
It suited our needs perfectly and added an Amsterdam charm we couldn't have got any other way.
I am surprised over the rich bird life in the middle of Amsterdam. We had visitors like Egret and Grebe besides duck, mallard, swan and coot.
I slept like an princess in the bed, the shower was warm and the terrace with morning sun was lovely when it wasn't raining.......Even then it was quite nice actually :-)
Together with the bikes we rented from Rob we felt like true Amsterdammers :-)
I hope I am coming back to Amsterdam and I would very much like to stay i the studio then
Had a lovely little sty here for 5 nights in early July, with my boyfriend, the studio is in a perfect location - far enough out of town to be peaceful but close enough to be able to head into the centre of the city by foot if needed.
We were extremely happy with the studio it literally had everything that you could need for a city trip, kitchen equipment to make sandwiches for the day trip and a small oven and hob which made cooking easy on the nights where we wanted to eat back at the studio. The bed was super comfy and the shower was great (it had about 3 different settings great to wake you up and invigorate you ready for your day sightseeing!).
The studio was spotlessly clean and the touch of the little decked area to sit and have a coffee (great Nespresso machine in the kitchen) really made it very special - we had visits from little ducks every morning.
Rob and his wife were very friendly and gave us lots of tips about the city and how to get around, the directions that we received in advance were very clear and we also hired 2 bikes direct from rob on our last day which was great fun!
Can't recommend the studio enough (another nice touch was the windmill which is a 2 minute walk away with a great bar with plenty of great beers on tap!). We would highly recommend the studio to anyone wanting to visit Amsterdam with a touch of the authentic and romantic houseboat living experience :)
