The apartment is located on the 6th floor, unfortunately the lift was broken, so we were allowed to climb the 115 steps with toddler and luggage.
Good: beds were made on arrival; Towels, cleaning supplies and kitchen utensils were sufficient available. The view is terrific! Actually, a great place to stay.
The apartment itself is unfortunately considerably worn and has some massive damage on (Wohntaum: partially torn parquet and scantily covered with carpet bathroom. Mold of silicone joints). The beds and mattresses are to say the least unreasonable. The double bed is sized meager with 140 cm width, the single mattresses are hard as a board. Due to the location must be reckon with a considerable noise backdrop by fans and sirens (fire station nearby).
The main entrance was mostly volluriniert, the lobby reeked of feces also.
On Friday at about 21:00 there was a ring at the front of the front door. 3 policemen wanted to carry out a raid in another apartment, waiting for admission. Not a very comforting thought.
Saturday was celebrated in an apartment 2 Stpckwerke among us a loud party, which went hand in hand in addition to the music with screaming / Roar until the early morning hours. Sleep was out of the question here.
The area itself could be called benevolent as "working class neighborhood".
Overall, and in view of the price of the apartment, I can not provide specific recommendation and would strongly discourage people to quartering there.
Arrival procedure - what a nonsense. Having paid for the sheets you have to collect them in person from the office. We made it by the skin of our teeth before the office closed for the weekend. Because our flight was delayed we arrived in Chamonix later than expected and had the office been closed we would have had no sheets at all! They are bulky to carry and I have photos of my husband looking like Santa Clause with a big white sack over his shoulder. It's the height of nonsense to expect arrivals to lug luggage and carry this bulky bad around Chamonix. On departure we had to return the sheets to the office again in said bag!
End cleaning - the previous tenant had presumably paid therefore we expected a clean apartment. The hard surfaces were clean but the living room carpet was disgusting with stains and grime and dirty black marks (photographed). It needs either professionally deep cleaned or dumped. Personally I would replace it. My bed sheet had a dirty brown mark on it (photographed) and the "white" patio furniture was grey with grime. I don't think it had been cleaned in years. Before I would set as much as a mug on it I scrubbed it with the dish scrubber (which I then couldn't use on the dishes!). Again we have photographic evidence. The best feature of the apartment is the wonderful view of Mont Blanc from the balcony. I don't know who is employed to clean this apartment but they could do with a lesson or two. I will never use Interhome again and I recommend that you steer clear of it too. I've used Wimdu many times and always been satisfied but not on this occasion.
Nice clean well equipped apartment. Very friendly hoists. Would recommend to all my friends.
nice sunny apartment, close to mountains, ideal for active holidays close to innsbruck and germany.
a bit 90's furnishing but everything clean and usefull.
Thanks a lot
About the house, 10-15 min walk from Piazza San Marco, good location, very close to important places and easy to find (difficult in Venice..) the house is exactly as described in the pictures, one big sofa-bed (very comfortable) one bedroom, the kitchen, bathroom and a small terrace. Despite was a little bit small apartment was very nice, comfortable and charming.
Against: it wasn't very cleaned, some dirty in the corners and under the sofa and furniture. I don't understand why we had to pay 20€ per person for cleaning taxes and other taxes when they left us the apartment not as cleaned as they could...
The oven didn't work (or we didn't know how to turn it on... Neither our host) and half of the stoves didn't work, and the ones who did was very low fire and we took ages to cook and to get the water to boil.
The other think I didn't like (but this isn't problem of the house) is that even is well located, it's pretty far from the train station, like 40 min walking, 1hour if you are taking luggage, so the best thing is to take the vaporetto and its 40 min more or less and 7,50€ each trip. It's not a really big deal but a think to take on count if money is a struggle for you. You'll do it if you are going to Treviso airport.
Anyway, we had a very nice time then, if I go back to Venice, I would repeat for sure! :)
