Roxane is a very friendly and warm host.
She gave me a lot information about Nyc.
The flat is very well located, just few blocks from the red and green subway line. It's also close to Central park.
In the flat you can find everything you need, like flatiron, hairdryer etc.... you can also join at the gym upstair, for free and use washing machine and clothes dryer for a Dollar. In the flat, there will be other guests, and if you need more privacy, ask for a closed room, because there is also a room with sliding door, where i stayed and there is not much privacy. Anyway the room was very clean and confortable, maybe a bigger bed could be perfect.
Therefore, i think that all the guests you may find in the flat , they will be good because Roxane pay very attention to bring only goog people in the flat. She really take care about the well-being of her guests.
Nearby the building, you can always find Everything you need even in the night.
The area around is clean and safe, even in the night, i didn't noticed strange or dangerous situations.
we overbooked our stay to 4 days instead of 2. we informed her over15 days in advance so that we can be refunded or some how settled. she totally disagrees to pay us anything. we asked her to re book us on other days if she cant refund. she disagrees again with a rude tone. we shut up and decide to live with it as we wanted to avoid an unpleasant stay. the irony of our story is that we did not speak a word about it when we reached her home and tried to be fine as it was our mistake but it was hopeless.
She has house rules to follow and we did. one of it is not using the kitchen after 9.00 pm to 8.00 am. I went to fetch a cup of hot water for a dipped tea and she took the pains to come to the kitchen to let me know i cant use it. when i told her its just hot water, she insisted that even that was against the house rules.....super strange. after paying her for 4 nights and staying for 2... this is really not right. we did not use the kitchen at all except for water. I would suggest you pay a bit more and stay in a hotel in times square or rather than live in this house where you will be made clear that you are in someone else's space.
other than this:
1) the pics are good but the true condition of the house is old. out door handle was broken and was fixed with clear tape.
2) super noisy 24*7 due to constant traffic and people on the road. even times square was comparatively quiet
3) i was a bit concern about my safety due to the neighborhood. it may be safe but i didnt feel it to be.
Roxanne has been a very polite and warm host. She was always there for answering questions and giving usefull information about her city. The room was exactly as described and everything was tidy and clean. Overall it was a great pleasure staying with Roxanne. Thanks for everything.
I already wrote to you. I could repeat that, Roxanne was an excellent host. This was my first experience to stay at a similar property. She was exceptionally nice and clever. I consider myself lucky to have met her.
Me and my friend stayed 2 nights at Roxanne's place and really enjoyed it. Roxanne is a very reliable, communicative and warm person. She gave us all kinds of tips for our stay in New York since it was our first time in the Big Apple. The appartment was very clean and it's really less then a 5 minute walk to Central Park (where you also can take the subway). Great location, great appartment and a great person! I would really recomment her appartment if you're going to New York.
Great location (5min walk from Central Park and multiple subway stations) and really friendly, flexible hostess. Keep in mind that the actual bedroom is very small. If you plan to be outside all day, then this is definitely a room to consider!
host: Roxanne is very kind and helpful!!!
flat location: three minutes by feet from north east corner of central park, busses/subway close by.
flat: nice place, clean, warm and pleasant atmosphere. Be aware that you may share flat/bath/kitchen with others. My room was separated from the living room only by a milk glas sliding door. Was very ok for me, but for somebody seeking strict privacy, the choice might not be ideal.
In total very good choice, Thanks Roxanne
Roxanne is a very helpful and great person. She gave us many advises for sightseeing in NYC as well as a map to find the spots quite easily. Her appartment was clean, nice and very close to the central park. For sure, we can recommend everyone to stay at Roxannes place.
Roxanne was the best host ever. I really appreciated her advice and nice personality.
