The place is about 400 meters from New Cross Station, which gives you access to the Overground and the mainline railway (Note: the Overground is connected to the tube/underground - it just runs over ground - all tickets are valid). Deptford Bridge Station is even closer. From here the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) will take you to Greenwhich and Canary Wharf.
There are also numerous buses, which pass New Cross Road and go straight to central London, including several night buses, so you can always get home no matter what time of night! You can be in Trafalgar Square (by train) in just 15 minutes. The vibrant and eclectic area of Shoreditch is also just 15 minutes on the Overground. The location is ideal for any tourist or person working in central London!
So far all the guests in the house have been very nice, interesting, responsible and very respectful of one another. I believe that they have all enjoyed their stay. The apartment is maintain daily to a high standard.
In the local area you will find everything you need for a great stay; there are 24 hour food shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, some really nice traditional English pubs and the famous Deptford Market all within walking distance of the place. The place is very close to Goldsmith University campus, so could be an ideal base if you are visiting the university for a conference.
House rulesA deposit of 30 GBP is required.
Guest may use the kitchen on the following conditions: They wash up all dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. They clean the cooker, hob, all work surfaces and table. They sweep the floor of any crumbs. They return all utensils to their original place. They put all rubbish in the bins at the entrance to the building.
Bathroom: Guests are asked to hang the bath mat up after use. Guests are asked not to leave any soap, shampoo, shower gel or any other such items in the bathroom. Guests are asked to leave the shower in a clean and fresh state. Guests are asked to leave the toilet in a hygienic and fresh state.
Bedroom: Guests are asked to wear house shoes in the bedroom and the rest of the house. Guests are asked to refrain from playing music before 10am and after 10pm. Guests are reminded that smoking is not permitted in any part of the property. This includes the bedroom and smoking at the bedroom window. Anyone found to have smoked in the property will be asked to leave. Guests are asked to remove all litter and rubbish from their room at least once a day.
Please note that a cleaner will clean all common parts of the apartment each day. We ask guests to leave the area when the cleaner is at work. There is no need to leave the room as this is cleaned at the beginning an end of your stay.
Please note that guests are not permitted to have others staying with them in the room. If a guests wants someone to stay over at any point the guest should agree this with Sidney before. There is an extra charge for this. Please ask for more information. Also note that smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building. Please do not violate this.
